RPD is working in partnership with London Overground to review and hone its highly successful driver training course and competence management process. The course has delivered more than 240 drivers over the last five years and is viewed within the industry as the most effective and efficient programme in the UK.
The review has helped to confirm the successful approach as well as some innovative enhancements to make it easier to manage. The enhancements include online management and tracking of individual trainee learning, experiences and progress as well as improved focus on non-technical skills, in particular situation awareness personal protection strategies.
